3. This was a diagram of the trenches in world war one. It gave specifics on the lengths that the trenches were created at and a solid understanding of how the soldiers operated in them.
4. The course text book. Went in depth with the battle of Somme. There was lots of content on the battle in this book.
5. This source also went in depth on the battle of Somme. It talked about how it was one of the bloodiest ever and how the trenches were ineffective and change was needed. Too many people were killed.
6. This was a dairy entry from and Australian who participated in world war one. It gave details of his experience in the war and what an average day was like during the war.
7. This was another diary from a soldier in the war. Except this one talked about what happened on Christmas, and how it was different from normal days.
8. This source talked about the evolution of the trenches and how there was a need for change and what came out of the change. The Creeping barrage, and how it worked in battle.
9. This was similar to number 8. It was about the Hindenburg line and how it changed trench warfare. Germany built a line instead of staying in trenches. Evolution of trench warfare.
